Your Investment

  • Initial Fee: Just $5,000 gets you started, including hands-on startup support! (Obiously, this is liscense fee, you will still need $150k-$250k+ to open)

  • Monthly Royalty: Only 5% of gross sales, deferred for 90 days after your opening to give you time to establish your business.

  • Website & Administrative Support: $250/month to keep your location integrated into our main website with individual links. You'll also have access to additional merchandise, advertising tools, and branded materials for purchase as needed.

  • Annual Renewal Fee: 1% of gross annual sales to keep your location active.

Optional Services for Extra Success

  • Project Manager: Launch seamlessly with our on-site expert for $25,000, plus a $155/day per diem and excess travel expenses.

  • Virtual Reality Specialist: Elevate your offerings with VR support at $200/day + $125/day per diem.

  • What is provided as a Licensee?
    As you’re starting your family entertainment business, we will provide up to five days of basic location based business training, plus an additional three - four weeks of operations training to you and / or your general manger. This initial training is held at our Elon, NC facility. We will spend 5 days assisting your on-site at your location around the time of your business launch (transportation, loging and $155 per diem for 2 per day) We’ll also help you with a copy of our confidential operations outline manual to help you run your business properly on a day-to-day basis, and we’ll be there to provide remote support, answer questions, and provide ongoing guidance.
  • What experience do I need to own a Ground Zero Location?
    We do not require you to have prior experience in the family entertainment industry; we can teach you what you need to know to run your Ground Zero business. We are primarily seeking single-unit, start-up location owners who will be hands-on operators, and who can learn the Ground Zero system and develop a strong operations team within their franchised business. Also, we have a program option for existing Laser Tag or family entertainment businesses that wish to convert to the Ground Zero system; financial incentives are available for conversion licenees. Above all, we expect location owners or their operating partners to have great sales, customer relations, and supervisory skills; solid business management experience; and a strong and honest work ethic.
  • How much capital is expected to build a successful Ground Zero location?
    The projected initial investment range for a single start-up location ranges between from $159,450 - $390,000. This investment amount includes an initial franchise fee of $5,000 (FIRST LOCATION). As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business. We look for candidates with minimum liquidity of about $150,000++. The more you put in, the larger the return. Our existing location in Elon, NC would cost approx $200,000 to duplicate. This location can also be purchased for $200,000 as we transition to the corporate side. We have done all the labor and testing changing the plan hundreds of times and re-investing to find the right formula. it's turn key and ready to go!
  • Are there other ongoing fees paid to Ground Zero Tactical Laser Tag LLC?
    Licensees will pay a royalty rate of 5% of gross sales monthly plus technology fees estimated at about $250 per month. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services, marketing tools, training programs, website and systems upgrades. Franchise tools and POP will be available for purchase on our Corp web page as well.
  • Are there any advertising fees?
    It's recommended you spend a minimum of 2-10% of gross revenues toward local marketing within your territory. And, you will be required to contribute up to .5% of gross margin revenues quarterly into the system marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Ground Zero brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Is financing available?
    Financing and Payment Terms Please note that Ground Zero does not offer direct financing to our licensees. However, we may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending resources on a case-by-case basis, subject to the availability of such resources and approval from the relevant parties. For those interested in purchasing the Elon location, a potential financing option may be available. The terms would require a down payment of $90,000, with the remaining balance of $110,000 to be financed at an interest rate of 6%. This option would be subject to further discussions and approval based on the specific circumstances and requirements of the purchaser.
  • What is the term of the agreement?
    The initial term of your agreement is five years with three additional successor agreement options of five years each.
  • What if I want to get out of the agreement?
    No problem. We understand things happen and sometimes there are circumstances that business fail. We do offer a full release in the event of business closure and non-reopening under another name.
  • What if I want to purchase a fully turn key scenerio?
    Absolutely we can help. We can offer a managment guidance package with an innitial upfront investment of $80,000 + franchise fee, and all related expenses for lodging, transportation, and $100 per diem while on premisses. We will come to your location anywhere in the World and do the hard part for you. You will simply need to supply the cost for all related construction, supplies, materials, equipment, and labor and we will handle the management. This fee is in addition to your opening cost. We will dedicate a full 90 days to getting you going onsite + off or onsite (additional fees may apply) management support as needed for up to a year. You supply the cost + crew, we supply the do. We can also sell you the existing location in Elon, NC for $200,000 or help find you a location to convert somewhere in the US.
